Sardines in bread crumbs

WHAT?

4-6 sardines

½ lemon juice

Oregano

2 crushed garlic cloves, chilli,

1 slice of bread in crumbs

1 tablespoon flour

2-3 tablespoons olive oil

Salt, pepper

1 egg


HOW TO?

1️⃣Fillet the sardine. Chop off the head and tail and slice it sideways, across the bone. Remove gently the bone, so you don’t hurt the flesh.

2️⃣Marinate in garlic, chilli, lemon and oregano, salt and pepper for 2 hours.

3️⃣Crush the bread and add to a plate. Whip the egg and add to a bowl. Add the flour in another plate. Run every fish past egg first, flour, egg again and bread crumbs.

4️⃣Grill the fish 3-4 minutes in medium heat. Serve in homemade buns like a sandwich.
